Director of Food & Beverage

 

Professional Sports Catering, LLC is a food service company specializing in concessions and catering operations at minor league baseball stadiums across the country.  Launched in 2005, PSC serves the needs of minor league baseball clubs who want to outsource their food business to a partner who shares their core values: taking care of their customers and providing high quality, exciting, and fresh food and beverage products.

While only 5 years old, PSC already runs all concession and catering operations at eleven minor league baseball teams around the country.  In each of these markets, PSC makes the ballpark the best restaurant in town.

With an expanding client list and a proven business plan, we are looking for the best food service professionals in the industry to join us!  We are currently looking for an experienced director to run our operation based in Montgomery, AL for the Montgomery Biscuits.  This opportunity would require relocation to Montgomery, AL as soon as possible. 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall food service operation, including all concessions and catering venues, at Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Montgomery Biscuits.  This person will focus on daily responsibilities including establishing and meeting department budgets, monitoring food and labor cost on a daily basis, establishing vendor relationships, ordering and receiving food and beverage products, developing new menu options, maintaining proper inventory levels, and insuring the cleanliness of all food venues.

The Director of Food & Beverage must possess strong management qualities, as this position directs at least 4 full-time or seasonal full-time food service managers in concessions and catering, in addition to overseeing and leading 150+ hourly employees and non-profit groups.

Strong communication will also be a key to success in this position.  The Director of Food & Beverage will be in constant communication with the GM/President of the Biscuits, as well as with PSC Ownership.  Additionally, one of PSC’s best attributes – for both clients and employees – is the unity amongst each PSC operation and the “hands on” nature of the PSC management team.  Each Director of Food & Beverage will contribute to and benefit from ongoing and detailed communication with all PSC staff across all current venues. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • • Experience managing food service operation a must, experience in a sports or stadium venue a major plus
  • • 5+ years experience in the food service industry
  • • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • • Creative culinary and strong financial management skills
  • • Ability to effectively manage team and large seasonal workforce
  • • Ability to relocate a must

START DATE:          January/February, 2011
